Mission
Our mission is to conduct independent and objective audits and investigations to improve DCPS operations. We seek to protect all DCPS programs against fraud, waste and abuse.

Through our advice and reviews, we help promote positive change throughout DCPS.

Goals

• Provide DCPS managers with audits and reviews that are complete, clear and concise.
• Determine the effectiveness of programs, functions and operations in accomplishing the delivery of goods and services to students, parents, and employees.
• Promote the economy and efficiency of DCPS business processes used to assist in the delivery of goods and services to DCPS schools, programs, offices and divisions.
• Determine the reliability and integrity of DCPS information systems.
• Assess whether DCPS resources are used efficiently, effectively and economically
• Determine whether DCPS as a whole and its individual schools, programs, offices and divisions comply with applicable regulations, policies and court orders.
• Identify and, to the extent possible, eliminate instances of fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement within DCPS as a whole, and its schools, programs, offices and divisions.
