Life in DC

One of UELIP’s advantages over other programs is its location in the nation’s capital. Washington DC offers several exciting opportunities to our associates.

Our associates enjoy exploring the different neighborhoods of DC: Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, U Street Corridor, Georgetown, Capitol Hill/Eastern Market, Foggy Bottom, Columbia Heights, as well as Alexandria, Virginia, and Bethesda and Silver Spring, Maryland. Several restaurants and theaters in these neighborhoods offer intern discounts.

Additionally, associates can take advantage of sights and experiences like the National Mall, Washington National Cathedral, Arlington National Cemetery, National Zoo,  Holocaust Memorial Museum, International Spy Museum, and US National Arboretum.
