Shaw Middle School Extends Prom Dress Giveaway to High School Students

Shaw Middle School has extended its free Prom Dress Shop through the week of May 9 to 13. There are several sizes and styles of prom dresses to choose from. The Prom Dress shop also has shoes and accessories, such as purses, in stock.
The school received so many donations that organizers decided to offer high school students as well. The dresses were originally donated to the school so that eighth graders who might not have the financial means to buy a dress and a ticket to the prom could afford to go.
Students can shop free of charge from 3:30-5 p.m. this week at Shaw Middle School, 2001 10th St. NW. For more information, call the school at 202-673-7329 or 202-671-1916.
