Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing Consent
If an athlete is believed to have suffered a head injury during competition, a software tool called ImPACT (Immediate Post Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). ImPACT is used to help determine the severity of head injury and when the injury has fully healed.

Fluid Replacement
In order for an athlete to perform at an optimal level, close attention must be paid to the body's water and electrolyte levels.

Sickle Cell Trait
If an athlete exhibits any signs or has symptoms of a sickling collapse, he or she must be removed from activity. Continuing to exercise will lead to worsening symptoms, additional serious internal organ damage, or even death.
