Winter Break Work Packets for Students
Learning through Winter Break 2009-2010
Even when children are not in school, they are still learning. With a few simple tools available on this website, we can help them keep up with their grade-level skills during the winter break.
DCPS has compiled “Winter Break Work Packets” for students in each grade from 3 through 12. These packets are designed for students to practice grade-level skills and continue their learning over the break. They are based on typical content at each grade level, and students should strive to complete the work on their own. The packets can be downloaded below.
Each school has discretion on how they will use these packets, and your child’s teachers may have other work they have suggested for winter break. You can also return the completed packets to school and offer feedback to teachers on the content and how using the packets worked in your family.
Once you have used the packets, please return to this site and click here to complete a parent/guardian survey about the packets.
In addition to these packets, be sure to check out 15 Fun Things to Do With Your Child.
We hope your family has a happy, healthy winter break, and that your children look forward to a new season of learning when they return to school next year!
