The Office of Family and Public Engagement (OFPE) is pleased to share a new resource tool for parents, families, and community stakeholders: The DCPS Parent Handbook. The DCPS Parent Handbook is available in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Amharic.
The DCPS Parent Handbook has been created to provide families with comprehensive, but not exhaustive, information about DCPS policies, practice, and protocols. The purpose of the document is to 1) Highlight the resources, services, and supports parents need to understand and access to support their child's academic success and 2) Allow parents, families, and community stakeholders who are interested in navigating the central office, the ability to do this with ease.
Please note, the DCPS Parent Handbook will not contain all DCPS policies and practices, and will be subject to change.
A limited quantity of hard copies will be printed and made available to schools at the beginning of June.
