Parent Resource Centers

The Parent Resource Center (PRCs) were created to provide learning opportunities for parents, provide workshops, and training, and provide access to DCPS and community resources.

By creating these opportunities, it is our belief that we will support an environment that will allow parents, guardians, and families to further support their child’s ability to succeed in school.

Your feedback is helping us create and strengthen our new approach to family engagement.

You are invited to review and comment on the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) that will guide the re-opening of the PRCs in January 2012.

Request for Proposals to Operate the Parent Resource Centers

The District of Columbia Public School (DCPS) Parent Resource Centers (PRCs), located in Wards 1, 7 and 8, were created to provide parents and caregivers learning opportunities, workshops, training, and access to DCPS and community resources. By providing these opportunities, we will create the environment that parents, guardians and families need to further support their child’s ability to succeed in school.

We are seeking to partner with organizations that share these same values and goals and can provide a variety of high quality resources, services, and opportunities to parents, guardians, and families.

Please review the RFP to Operate Parent Resources Centers for more details. Interested applicants should submit an Intent to Apply by November 29, 2011.

Proposals are due by December 9, 2011.
