Academics

Our academic programs are designed to equip students with the education and tools needed for success in college, careers and beyond. To do so, we follow rigorous standards of instruction that are supported by innovative academic programs and school models, all guided by the Effective Schools Framework.

Our Learning Standards define the knowledge, concepts and skills each student is expected to master in each grade level. These standards are taught in all schools through a variety of instructional practices and programs, many of which are supported centrally by our Curriculum, Instruction, Intervention and Enrichment Department.

We also provide targeted support for certain children through Inclusive Academic Programs. These programs help schools better serve their Special Education, Bilingual/English Language Learners and Gifted and Talented students.

Finally, students discover pathways to college and careers through our Middle and High School Transformation efforts.
