Art Fields serves as the Chief Integrity Officer for the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). The Office of Integrity supports parents, staff, students and education stakeholders in addressing concerns, complaints and seeks to have timely resolutions to concerns and proactively address issues through coordination with DCPS internal offices and external partners. Prior to this role, Dr. Fields led the School Culture Division, primarily responsible for supporting healthy school climates, providing supports to effectively address student attendance and truancy, student disciplinary issues and reduce volume of suspensions, as well as supporting LGBT youth and parenting students in receiving additional supports to improve their academic experience and educational outcomes. Preceding this role, he served as the Senior Executive Director of Related Services, under which he supervised all Related Service Providers in DCPS in ensuring assessment timeliness and service delivery for students receiving special education services. He received his MSW from Howard University, his Ph.D. from Capella University, and an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University.
