Special Education Parent Advisory Board

Overview and Purpose:

The Special Education Parent Advisory will listen to parents’ hopes, insights and recommendations for how DCPS can better communicate with families and inform strategic work that is centered on the successful inclusion of students with disabilities.

Composition:

The Special Education Parent Advisory Board will consist of 12-15 DCPS parents or guardians who have at least one child in DCPS (or who are prospective DCPS parents) and who are reflective of the diversity of the DCPS community and the variety of specific disability categories.

Meeting Frequency:

The Special Education Parent Advisory Board will meet quarterly.
