Anacostia High School
Latisha Chisholm is the Connected Schools Manager at Anacostia High School. Latisha began her career with DCPS in 2011 as a New Heights Coordinator at Ballou STAY High School, where she provided case management services to expectant and parenting students and earned employee of the year. From there, she transitioned to Ballou High School as an English and special education teacher while serving as the English department chair.
In 2015, Latisha moved to Anacostia High School where she has been a teacher and special education coordinator. In 2016, she participated in the last cohort of the CityBridge Education Innovation Fellows, where she and a fellow teacher redesigned special education teacher support and the pedagogy implemented in the self-contained special education program at Anacostia. Latisha also has experience as a clinical social worker. Latisha earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and health and development in education with honors from Stanford University. She earned a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) with a concentration in children and families from the University of California, Berkeley.
