Stoddert Elementary School
Ms. Alysia Lutz is a long-time DC Public Schools (DCPS) leader, having served as Principal at Janney Elementary School for six years through School Year 2020-2021. Over the last eighteen months, she has also filled interim principal roles at Seaton Elementary, Miner Elementary, Eaton Elementary, and Wheatley Education Campus. Ms. Lutz has spent her career working in elementary schools, and she enjoys building relationships with students, teachers, and families while finding meaningful ways to celebrate student learning and growth.
Additionally, Ms. Lutz has experience as an Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, and teacher within DCPS. She also taught at the American School in London and Hong Kong International School. Ms. Lutz holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Duke University, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Trinity University, and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
