Spotlight: Green Chargers

Green Cleaning at Roosevelt

Roosevelt High School is going green in its cleaning operations, thanks to Custodial Foreman Rhonda Keith and the entire custodial staff. With the support of Principal Aqueelha James, Roosevelt High School is recycling right and using cleaning products that are safe for the environment and safe for the health of students, teachers, and custodians. "Recycling properly actually makes our job easier," said Ms. Keith. "Bags are a lot easier to lift when waste has been put in the right bin."
The Healthy Schools Act requires all schools to use green cleaning products, For guidance on how to comply, view the District's sustainable purchasing guidelines here
