Deputy Chancellor of Innovation and Systems Improvement Advisory Board

Overview and Purpose:

The Innovation and Systems Improvement Advisory Board will assist DCPS in identifying improvements to equitably align systems, resources, operations, and talent, to best meet the needs of our schools. This will include providing feedback on school budgeting, facilities, security, operations, staff recruitment, and staff retention.

Composition:

The Innovation and Systems Improvement Advisory Board will consist of 24 members, with a focus on DCPS parents and community leaders. The group should include representatives from every Ward and membership should be majority DCPS parents. The group may be supplemented by representatives from other city agencies who supply technical support to the planning process.

Meeting Frequency:

The Innovation and Systems Improvement Advisory Board will meet every other month.
