Opportunity for Public Comment: Draft Policy Available for Comment until June 7, 2019

DCPS is committed to ensuring that all students have access to rigorous and joyful learning opportunities within a safe and welcoming environment. This spring, DCPS set out to create a new policy focused on the reporting and investigation of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct against students. At the core of these changes is DCPS’ commitment to crafting supportive and equitable policies that outline protections and rights for all students.

On Monday, we released a draft policy regarding these protections and rights for public comment. Staff and members of the public can review the draft policy and submit comments through this form between May 13 and June 7. For more information about this policy, including a one-pager and upcoming in-person engagement session, please visit the DCPS website.
