DCPS permits its employees to take annual, sick, medical, and other types of leave to address their personal well-being. This policy provides employees with guidance on how they can best navigate and access their leave time. This policy provides procedures for employees to follow when they need or desire to request time off. To the extent the following policy differs from provisions contained in a union contract under which a DCPS employee is covered, the provision of the union contract shall take precedence for that employee.
