Kathleen Munford

Kathleen Munford

Kathleen Munford brings a wealth of instructional knowledge, professional development facilitation and data analysis to the DCPS Master Educator team. She served as a middle school math teacher in Philadelphia Public Schools before moving to Maryland and teaching special education and secondary math courses to high school students. Kathleen transitioned to DCPS as an instructional coach for one year.

In additional to classroom instruction and coaching teachers, Kathleen has coordinated college and career readiness initiatives, led positive school culture programs and mentored first and second year teachers. During her first year as a Master Educator, Kathleen led Collaborative Learning Cycles and provided individual support for math teachers in the 40 Targeted School in DCPS. She has continued to demonstrate passion for teacher development through leading coaching initiatives and supporting IMPACT  design work.

Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economic from Loyola University Maryland. She also holds a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kathleen will be serving as a Senior Master Educator for Secondary Math and Special Education.
