Synopsis:

DCPS is seeking Contractor(s) to provide transportation of 3rd graders from 79 different elementary schools except Marie Reed “Learn to Swim Program” at the following pools: HD Woodson, Dunbar, Ballou, Roosevelt, River Terrace, and Marie Reed. As part of the 3rd grade physical education school curriculum, students learn activities that are lifetime and can be done outdoors.

Learning how to swim helps students with a lifesaving skill that can prevent them from drowning as well as a great way to exercise and an enjoyable activity. Students will learn in physical education the basics of water safety, bobbing, floating, kicking and the front and back crawl.

The students will be transported between the home school and the school where the pool is located according to the schedules attached in Section J10.
