Summer School Aide, Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8

The Aide, Summer School / Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8 position is located in the middle public schools and education campuses that have been selected to host the Student Promotion and Retention program within the District of Columbia Public Schools system.

Under the direction of the Student Promotion and Retention Principal, the Aide, Summer School / Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8 supports the Teacher, Summer School / Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8 in providing appropriate learning experiences for students. The Incumbent is responsible for helping to create an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of every student. The Incumbent will support the Teacher in preparing and implementing materials in an effort to challenge students and provide appropriate learning experiences for Student Promotion and Retention Summer School students.

The Teacher, Summer School / Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8 will work five hours per day (9 am – 2 pm), five days per week for a total of 25.0 hours per week.

The Teacher, Summer School / Student Promotion and Retention for Grade 8 reports to the Principal, Student Promotion and Retention.
