DCPS School Partners

At DC Public Schools, we define a partner as an organization or group that is committed to work with DCPS to make sustainable impact on a shared goal around student success.

Across the district, we have community partners in many schools that provide their time, resources or financial support. We believe that partnerships are an integral component to school and student success and we are fortunate to have partners who sponsor school initiatives, invite students to events, and implement valuable programs.

Ways to Become a DCPS Partner

  1. Submit a New Partner Interest Form—this option is best for organizations that have a specific interest area and are looking for general guidance on how to begin a partnership with DCPS schools. The School Partnerships Team will review all submissions and follow up with next steps.
  2. Join the Adopt-a-School Program—we recommend this program for community and business groups interested in a structured approach to supporting schools. It is best suited for groups that are flexible on how their resources are leveraged to support student and school needs, and are open to collaborating with the school in an on-going basis.
  3. Become an afterschool provider—organizations interested in providing after-school programming must go through a thorough vetting process before being selected to provide services in our schools. For more information, visit our Afterschool Programs page.
