These programs are designed to prepare students for success in both college and career.  In School Year 2013-14, over 5,000 students at 15 of our schools enrolled in CTE Programs.  DCPS employed 60 CTE teachers and 6 Central Office employees focusing on CTE.  While most of our CTE programs are funded by the Federal Perkins Grant, our seven Career Academies are funded through a local CTE Innovation Fund. Below is a summary of DCPS’ existing CTE Programs, including the industry-recognized certifications to which each program culminates.
