Stanton Elementary School
Principal Richardson is a native Washingtonian and an accomplished DCPS alumnus, having attended Charles Young Elementary School, Roper Middle School, and graduated from Spingarn Senior High School. He has been an educator for 17 years and has served in several roles, including teacher, Instructional Specialist, Program Director, and Assistant Principal. Before being named Interim Principal at Stanton Elementary, he served as Assistant Principal at Randle Highlands Elementary School in Ward 7.
Principal Richardson's comprehensive skill set is an asset to Stanton Elementary and the DCPS community. As an engaging and personable leader with a proven track record of student achievement, Mr. Richardson's focus on building strong professional relationships will continue to be the catalyst that drives the commitment with which he operates and the PRIDE his leadership exemplifies.
Mr. Richardson completed his undergraduate education at Lincoln University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood education. He also holds a master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Moreland University and began his doctoral journey in 2023 with the American College of Education.
