
Garrison Elementary School
Brigham Kiplinger is the new principal at Garrison Elementary School for School Year 2017-2018. He comes to Garrison with 14 years of experience in education in the Washington, DC area. Before the principal role, he served as a Mary Jane Patterson Fellow at Orr Elementary School in School Year 2016-2017. Additionally, Kiplinger has served as a teacher with DCPS. Before coming to DCPS, he worked in DC public charter schools as both an assistant principal and teacher. Kiplinger takes a respectful, relational, and engaging approach to families and communities, which is evidenced by the record 400 people who attended Orr’s first-ever Cornerstones Night in October 2016. Kiplinger received his bachelor’s degree in arts and history from Cornell University and his master’s degree in teaching from American University.
