Mr. Devario Hawkins is an accomplished educational leader with over 15 years of experience across general education, special education, and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. Over the course of his career, he has led impactful initiatives including implementing high-quality curriculum, expanding specialized instructional services, and strengthening family engagement to improve outcomes for all students.
As a school leader, Mr. Hawkins believes strong communities are built through collaboration and a clear belief in every student’s potential. He is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where students, staff, and families feel valued and able to succeed.
Mr. Hawkins holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree in education and human development from The George Washington University. He is also a member of the DCPS Mary Jane Patterson Fellowship cohort and earned a certificate in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
