Beers Elementary School
Jade L. Brawley has served the students and families of DC for twenty-five years. A Washingtonian and proud DCPS alumna, she has taught elementary and middle school at Davis and Whittier Elementary schools, supported teachers as an instructional coach at Harriet Tubman Elementary School, and led school communities at Excel Academy, as an assistant principal and Shepherd Elementary as the principal.
As a school leader, Ms. Brawley works closely and collaboratively with the Academic Leadership Team (ALT) to monitor and improve the quality of instruction students receive. She also works with other members of the leadership team to ensure students are excited to come to school and experience joy.
Jade L. Brawley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Pittsburgh. She also earned a M.A.T. from Trinity University and an Executive Master's in Leadership from Georgetown University. In addition, she was a member of the second cohort of the Mary Jane Patterson Fellowship leadership program.
