Benjamin Williams

Dr. Benjamin Williams

Eastern High School

Throughout his tenure in education, Dr. Banjamin Williams has held many positions—special education aide, social studies teacher, department chair, and dean of students. Dr. Williams has also served in several leadership roles, including assistant principal, associate principal, and founding principal of Ron Brown College Preparatory High School, the first all-male public high school in Washington DC. In 2014-2015, Dr. Williams was among four recipients of the Rubenstein Leadership Award for outstanding performance as an associate principal in DCPS. Most recently, Dr. Williams served as an assistant principal at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School. 

At the core of Dr. Williams' philosophy is a commitment to building relationships, cultural proficiency, and a strong belief in providing an equitable educational experience for all students. The force driving his work is an unwavering love for the mission, students, and communities served by DCPS. 

Dr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Secondary Education, a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership and Administration from the University of Virginia as well as an Executive master's in leadership from Georgetown University's McDonough Business School.
