Donja Wilkinson

Donja WilkinsonDunbar High School senior Donja Wilkinson was thrilled when she found out she had been accepted to Georgia State University. “I’ve always wanted to go to Atlanta, and I loved the diversity and the atmosphere when I visited the campus.” She plans to study pre-dentistry to eventually become an orthodontist because she thinks it “would be fun to work with youth and build their confidence.” At Dunbar, she’s been on the track, volleyball, ski, and bowling teams, as well as a student speaker at assemblies to help motivate her peers. Thanks to her four AP classes and various activities, Donja feels prepared for college next year. “The environment here prepares you, and the teachers are really helpful. Everyone has positive attitudes, which helps because we’re dealing with a lot of stuff outside of school. We come in here and feel the love. Dunbar is like home.” #DCPSGoesToCollege
