Cardozo Education Campus senior Tanesha Givings has been interning at Children’s National Medical Center since February, an experience that has helped her realize that she wants to be a neonatal nurse practitioner. “I got a clear view of what I wanted to do. I love babies, and I want to make sure every baby has a chance.” She’ll pursue that dream next year at North Carolina Central University where she has also been guaranteed an internship at the hospital on campus. At Cardozo, she is both a cheerleader and student ambassador, and she’s most excited to experience “a broader range of learning” in college. Though she’s only been at Cardozo for one year, she’s become pretty fond of her Clerk community: “Most people say this school is troublesome, but I don’t think so at all. School is what you make it. You can’t go off other people’s opinions. You just have to go in and see it for yourself.” #DCPSGoesToCollege
