Cleveland Elementary School

Anna Krughoff is the new principal at Cleveland Elementary School for School Year 2017-2018. She is a native Washingtonian, who has been involved in education for 16 years, seven of those in DC. Most recently, she served as an assistant principal at Marie Reed Elementary School, and has also worked as a master educator and instructional coach with the district. In 2017, Krughoff won the prestigious Rubenstein Award for Highly Effective Leadership as part of the DCPS Standing Ovation Awards. She takes a collaborative approach to school communities, and during her time at Marie Reed, helped restructure the dual-language program. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, with majors in elementary education and Spanish, and her master’s degree in education leadership from Trinity University.
