Suzanne Peters

Seaton Elementary School

Suzanne Peters began her career as a DCPS second grade teacher at Ross Elementary School in 2009. She spent four years in the general education setting teaching 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade at Ross before transitioning to the role of literacy specialist at the campus in 2012. In 2015, she became the assistant principal at Seaton Elementary School where she has served for the past three years. Her favorite memory from her time as assistant principal at Seaton has been Multicultural Day, where the school celebrates its diverse student and staff community with a school-wide assembly of student performances, a Parade of Nations around the Shaw neighborhood, and a festival after school. Ms. Peters holds a bachelor’s degree from Catholic University and a master’s degree from George Mason University.
