Whittier Education Campus
Tiffany Johnson has been working in the field of education for more than 14 years, all as a member of the DCPS family. She has most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Whittier Education Campus for six years, and she has also served as a special education teacher. Her successes as an educator include improving student achievement on the TRC; helping to decrease truancy; consistently exceeding the district performance on i-Ready; and coaching teachers to ensure that rigorous instruction takes place daily. Her favorite memory of leading students comes from her days as a teacher at Sousa Middle School, where she says she "instilled a belief system and dared [her] scholars to dream": "Not only did I witness my student’s flourish academically, but also socially-emotionally. I often reflect on my student’s resiliency to refuel my passion to allow each student under my leadership to prove what’s possible throughout his or her academic journey."
