Burrville Elementary School

As a proud alumna of DCPS and a native Washingtonian, Principal Pilgrim desires to give back to the school district that shaped her into the school leader that she is today. She began teaching at CW Harris 20 years ago where she served as an inclusion teacher, grade level chair, and member of LSAT team.  From there, Principal Pilgrim became the ELA Coach at HD Cooke Elementary School, working with a bilingual school population, and then she was a Master Educator at DCPS for seven years where she evaluated over 1,000 teachers in the areas of ELA, math, and special education. 

She joined Burrville Elementary community in the 2016-2017 school year as Assistant Principal and participated in the inaugural cohort of the Leadership and Innovation Program at Georgetown University School of Business during the 2018-2019 school year.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, a master’s degree from Regent University, and a doctoral degree from The George Washington University. She has been leading Burrville Elementary School as its principal since October 2019.
