Johnson Middle School (Interim)
Latisha Coleman began her teaching career 21 years ago in Washington, DC. Since then, she has served as a principal, instructional coach, assistant principal, and a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation teaching fellow. In addition, Mrs. Coleman was the founding middle school principal of a high-performing charter school in the District. She most recently served as the Director of Redesign and assistant principal at Anacostia High School. She helped Anacostia see significant gains in the PARCC English Language Arts (ELA) performance and oversaw the implementation of project-based learning, career academies and the dream team.
Mrs. Coleman holds a bachelor's degree from Dickson College. In addition, she earned a Master's in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University and a Master's in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland, College Park.
