Nicolas Ojeda

Nicolas Ojeda

Cardozo Education Campus

A proud Washingtonian and DCPS alumnus, Mr. Nicolas Ojeda brings 20 years of experience in education. He began his career as a social studies teacher, spending 13 years in the classroom before serving as an instructional coach at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and most recently as Assistant Principal at MacFarland Middle School. 

As Assistant Principal, Mr. Ojeda led consistent achievement in English Language Arts and math proficiency, including increasing the number of multilingual learners meeting their growth goals. As an instructional leader, he is committed to improving student outcomes and building strong, positive relationships with students and staff. He believes that trust, high expectations, and meaningful connections empower students to reach their full potential. 

Mr. Ojeda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts, Peace, and Sociology and a Master of Teaching from Tufts University. In 2018, he earned a post master’s certificate in educational leadership and administration from the George Washington University.
