About the Chancellor’s Parent Advisory Board

Applications Now Open! DC Public Schools Chancellor's Parent Advisory Board School Year 2026-2027

DC Public Schools (DCPS) is looking for parents and caregivers from across all eight wards to join Chancellor Lewis D. Ferebee's Parent Advisory Board for School Year 2026 - 2027.

Every month, the Parent Advisory Board connect 32 parents and caregivers with Chancellor Ferebee and DCPS leadership and to receive updates, ask questions, and meet with different teams. At these meetings, board members have the opportunity to learn about important projects and plans and share their thoughts.

Application translations are available in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Amharic. 

The application will be open beginning April 6, 2026, and close on May 4, 2026.
