Overview and Purpose: The Chancellor’s Parent Advisory Board will serve as a mechanism for parent leaders to directly inform the Chancellor about their perspective on the vision and direction of DCPS, with a focus on equity, race and diversity in DCPS, and the role of parents in schools. Topics may include but will not be limited to the following: early literacy, attendance, DCPS policies, and college and career pathways.

Composition: The Chancellor’s Advisory Board will consist of 24 DCPS parents or guardians who have at least one child in DCPS (or who are prospective DCPS parents). The group will include representatives from every ward.
