DC Public Schools (DCPS) Chancellor Kaya Henderson today released the following statement thanking the recently appointed School Library Task Force for their time and hard work in pulling together a report with recommendations of how DCPS can better support school libraries.

“I am deeply appreciative of the work that the School Library Task Force submitted to me this week,” said Henderson. “I’m especially grateful to the taskforce for working under such a short deadline to pull together such a comprehensive report.  I look forward to reviewing the report and discussing with staff the ways in which these recommendations can help improve student achievement and better support our schools.”
