Mayor Bowser to Join Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School for Class on DC Statehood

(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, September 25, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join a class of Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School third graders as they present projects on DC statehood and their hopes for the future of the District.

After the presentations, the class will have the opportunity to ask Mayor Bowser questions on DC statehood and her role as Mayor during a mock press conference. The projects are a part of an English language arts unit on government.
