Nalle Elementary School
Jake Lappi began his career in 2008 as a 9th grade Behavioral and Emotional Support (BES) teacher in North Carolina which ignited his passion to work with younger students. After joining New Leaders principal preparation program, he became the resident principal at Nathaniel Alexander Elementary School leading the K-8th grade STEM program in 2011. Mr. Lappi transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal in 2012 with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools where he served for three years before relocating to the District of Columbia as the principal of Achievement Preparatory Academy in 2015. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University.
