The Teamsters union includes DCPS employees in custodial, foreman, and attendance counselor positions, placed on three pay scales: RW, SW, and EG-9. EG-9, RW and SW employees are eligible to progress to the next step on the pay scale after successful completion of the required year(s) of service within their position. Within the RW pay scale, there are two salary bands: RW 3, and RW 5. Within the SW pay scale, there are three salary bands: SW 1, SW 3, and SW 5. The years of service required for each step on the pay scale is outlined below:
EG – 9, RW and SW
- Steps 1-4: 1 year of service
- Steps 5-7: 2 years of service
- Steps 8-10: 3 years of service
All Teamsters pay scales have one educational level, which applies to all employees on this scale.
All Teamsters employees are on a 12-month pay schedule.
