Ballou STAY Opportunity Academy
Gloria Bumpass is an educational leader with over 15 years of service as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of Maryland and her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bowie State. After spending 9 years in Prince George’s County Public Schools where she was the master scheduler and developed a system to individualizing schedules for middle school students. She currently serves as Assistant Principal at Ballou STAY Opportunity Academy serving students in need of a chance to receive their high school diploma. Ms. Bumpass has always been determined to work with the most disengaged students by building relationships and finding opportunities beyond her students perceived barriers and limitation.
