D’antre Judd has been Class President at Dunbar High School for all four years, and hopes to continue being active in Student Government as a freshman at Morehouse College next year. He’s also been a student ambassador for two years, a Head Cadet in the JROTC, and has participated in choir, swimming, and the anti-bullying club, on top of working a part-time job. “My roles here at Dunbar have helped prepared me for college,” D’antre says. “I’ve gotten to do things like plan the prom and the senior trip.” He’s maintained a full course load, including classes like AP Calculus, but he’s torn about what to study in college. “I’m interested in the medical field because my grandfather was in and out of the hospital last year, but I also like designing. I’ve been moving around furniture and picking out paint colors since I was young.” Whatever D’antre decides, he’ll have the support of a whole community behind him – his church just surprised him with a fundraiser to help him pay for college. #DCPSGoesToCollege
