After serving as team captain for the state championship Ballou football team, Frederick Quigley Jr., a senior at Ballou, can’t wait to continue his athletic career at Bethany College this fall. Fredrick has received a full scholarship and will be a two-sport athlete as a member of both the football and track teams. As the captain of both the Ballou football and track teams, Frederick says that he has always tried to lead by example through his dedication and work-ethic. Looking ahead, Fredrick is interested in majoring in computer science and ultimately having a career related to cybersecurity. His interest in technology began during his time at Ballou where he took an IT class. His advice for younger students: “Don’t let anybody stop you from your dreams. If you put your mind to focusing on what you want, it’s going to come sooner or later.” #DCPSGoesToCollege
