Calvin Hooks has devoted his career to educating the students of the District of Columbia. He began 16 years ago teaching 4th grade at Howard Road Academy Public Charter School where he quickly rose to team lead. From there, he moved on to Meridian Public Charter School in 2004 to be a dean of academics prior to becoming vice principal. In 2014, Dr. Hooks joined DC Public Schools where he has served as an assistant principal for 4 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Howard University, a master’s degree from National-Louis University, and a doctorate from Walden University.
