Jefferson Middle School Academy
Greg Dohmann served as Jefferson's principal from 2016-18 and has worked at the school since 2012. For School Year 2018-2019, he taught 7th grade Math at Jefferson before transitioning into an interim assistant principal role in the spring. During his last year as principal in 2017-18, Jefferson achieved PARCC growth of 12 points in ELA and 3 points in Math and the school received the Standing Ovation Award for Excellence in Family Engagement. Mr. Dohmann is committed to ensuring all students receive a high-quality, rigorous education and feel safe and happy at school. In 2013, he was the Teacher of the Year at Jefferson and was honored with a Rubenstein Award for Highly Effective Teaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in education from American University.
