Kimball Elementary School
Eric Dabney graduated from Cornell University and immediately began his career in food service management. In 2012, Eric came back home to the DC area and joined the Urban Teacher Program. While enrolled in the Urban Teacher Program he earned two master's degrees from Lesley University and worked at Lawrence E. Boone Elementary (formerly Orr) as a 4th grade math teacher. In 2016, Eric decided to leave the classroom and became an Instructional Coach at Kimball Elementary while also working with DC Public Schools Central Office to create and deliver professional developments for math teachers across the District. He later accepted the role as Assistant Principal of Kimball Elementary where has helped lead the school to a 4-STAR rating while going through modernization.
