Franchita Eborn is a proud mother, wife, and educator with over 15 years of experience in the District of Columbia’s charter and public schools. Mrs. Eborn has served as a math and science teacher, instructional coach, Interim Principal of J.O. Wilson Elementary, and was the founding Assistant Principal of Dorothy I. Height Elementary School. Mrs. Eborn is a proponent of the concept of life-long learning and has studied at the University of Delaware, George Washington University, Trinity Washington University, and Georgetown University.

Mrs. Eborn’s career highlights include being named a Highly Effective Educator with DCPS. The Dorothy I. Height Elementary School C.A.R.E.S. Truancy Reduction Program was featured in the Chancellor’s Testimony to Office of the State Superintendent of Education for Everyday Counts Initiative. She graduated from DCPS’ Inaugural Leadership Innovation Program with Georgetown University. She also participated in National Association of Secondary School Principals Inaugural Assistant Principal Cohort and led sustained mathematical gains on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) for three consecutive years. She grew up in Sussex County, Delaware, and credits her rural upbringing with helping to cultivate her tireless work ethic and instill core principles by which she governs her life: humility, hard work, humor, and honesty.
