Non-residents of Washington, DC are eligible to apply to attend any one of the District of Columbia Public Schools and must do so through the My School DC lottery. However, a seat will only be granted if there are no DC residents on the school’s waitlist.

As outlined in the DC Municipal Regulations (Chapter 5-A51), once a seat is granted, non-residents will be subject to pay out-of-state tuition.
