(Washington, DC) This Saturday, April 23, DC Public Schools invites families to stop by their school to complete enrollment for the 2022-2023 School Year. Enrollment Saturday is an annual event where schools provide support to families who want to come in-person to register their student for school.
Schools will be open from 9 am to 12 pm on Enrollment Saturday, and a list of DCPS locations is available at enrolldcps.dc.gov/node/161. Additionally, the DCPS Enrollment Team will be at DCPS’ Central Office location, just a block from the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro stop, at 1200 First Street NE, to collect enrollment paperwork. When completing enrollment, families will need to provide proof of DC residency. There are many options for families to complete this step, including a paystub, a license, or a utility bill.
“We want families to know about the joyful and rigorous experiences that DCPS offers our students. Enrollment Saturday is a great way to learn more about your neighborhood school ahead of next school year,” said Chancellor Lewis Ferebee. “Enrolling early helps families secure afterschool spots, and it helps our schools engage in more thoughtful planning for the upcoming school year.”
Families do not need to wait until Saturday to enroll and can easily enroll electronically at any time at enrolldcps.dc.gov. Students who are currently enrolled in DCPS or received a match through the My School DC Lottery can visit the website to submit enrollment forms electronically to their DCPS school for SY22-23. The DCPS enrollment packet is available in multiple languages.
