The District of Columbia has reached a settlement with a group of individuals previously employed by the District of Columbia Public Schools as principals and assistant principals to resolve litigation over the non-renewal of their appointments in 2008 and 2009, including:

• Dr. Janette Johns-Gibson
• Ms. Lynne D. Gober
• Dr. Mary Q. Grant
• Ms. Marta Guzman
• Mr. Charles H. Harden Jr.
• Dr. Harriett F. Kargbo
• Ms. Treva Lindsey
• Ms. Barbara E. McElwain
• Mr. Richard L. Patterson
• Ms. Gloria A. Tisdale
• Mr. Wellington Wilder
• Ms. Jacqueline Williams

The District acknowledges that these individuals collectively devoted many decades of their lives to educating the children of the District of Columbia and serving as leaders of the District's schools, and the District acknowledges and thanks them for their service and contributions.
